Data Center Solutions

Precision cooling system flanges for reliable thermal management.

Overview

Data centers demand extreme reliability in cooling systems because thermal failure cascades to equipment shutdown and revenue loss. Flanges in chilled water loops, immersion cooling systems, and waste heat recovery must deliver zero-leakage performance with high precision. Redundancy and bypass provisions are standard.

Applications

Chilled water supply and return loops

Computer room air handler (CRAH) connections

Immersion cooling reservoir inlet/outlet

Heat exchanger manifold connections

Condenser water system flanges

Waste heat recovery piping

Power and free cooling blends

Relevant Standards

  • ASME B16.5 (high-reliability variant)
  • ASME B31.9 (precision building piping)
  • ANSI/TIA-942 (data center infrastructure)

Material Grades

ASTM A105

carbon steel, chilled water service

ASTM A182 F316

higher purity applications

ASTM A182 F316L

ultra-low carbon

Typical Service Specifications

Data center flanges operate at 150-300 PSI with 40-60°F chilled water supply and 50-70°F return. Precision dimensions and absolute leak-free performance critical. RTD boss provisions for temperature monitoring standard. Flanges often spec 100% ultrasonic inspection (UT) and pressure testing before delivery.
