Pressure-Temperature Rating Lookup
Find maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) for any material grade, pressure class, and operating temperature combination.
Rating Lookup Tool
| Temperature | MAWP |
|---|---|
| 100°F | 740 PSI |
| 200°F | 675 PSI |
| 300°F | 655 PSI |
| 400°F | 635 PSI |
| 500°F | 600 PSI |
| 600°F | 550 PSI |
| 700°F | 535 PSI |
How to Use
Select your material grade (e.g., A105 for carbon steel, F316L for corrosion resistance), then choose your pressure class (Class 150 for general use through Class 2500 for high-pressure applications). The table shows MAWP across standard operating temperatures.
What MAWP Means
Maximum Allowable Working Pressure is the safe pressure limit at a given temperature. Never exceed MAWP for your material and temperature combination. The flange must support both pressure and thermal cycling stresses.
Design Safety Factor
ASME B16.5 applies a design factor of 4 on yield strength. This provides margin for pressure spikes, thermal transients, and fatigue cycling. Design your system at 60-75% of MAWP for operational flexibility.
